DNA Gardens Grows Cannabis You Can Trust

Back in 2005, the founders of DNA Gardens, Dan Bechen and Adrian Galavis, started growing weed as part of Washington State’s medical marijuana program. These two friends were told by a local dispensary that their weed was “some of the best in our store” and that it made sense for them to get their recreational cannabis license when the time was right.

After much consideration, Bechen applied for a license so that both friends could continue growing cannabis together and continue pushing legal cannabis down the right path. At that time, Dan was working on a business plan for a restaurant that was struggling to get off the ground and become a reality. Instead of pursuing that restaurant, he pivoted and went full-force into the cannabis industry, entering the legal market in Washington back in 2015.

The name DNA Gardens stands for Dan N Adrian, which is obviously the most clever abbreviation in history. For Dan and Adrian, there is more meaning behind it than just a clever abbreviation, the name has meanings with roots to the medicinal and spiritual nature of the actual cannabis plant. The message, “respect the cure” gives respect to everything that cannabis truly represents. Cannabis is an art. Growing is a science. Doing it well or even at all requires skill and time.

To become a top shelf company, DNA Gardens has created their own homemade super-soil mix which, has used the same mixture ratios over the last eight years. This level of consistent has remained the same for quite some time enabling certain strains to shine and be recognized as some of the best in the state. One of the main reasons why DNA Gardens products are highly regarded is because their plants receive variations of lighting throughout their cycles. These unique light spectrums help specific genetics grow more efficiently and are oftentimes one of the main reasons why flowers end up with distinct appearances.

The strains that Dan and Adrian are growing generally grow for anywhere from 7-9 weeks. Certain strains require more or less time to properly develop and these time periods are dialed in after extensive research to really understand what works best for each strain. There are all kinds of variables that play into just how well a strain turns out.

For DNA Gardens, they are arguably most known for their notably pungent Orange Widow and Purple Monkey. Orange Widow is a cross between Orange Kush and White Widow and generally gives users a clear-headed energy burst followed by a heavy body high and the munchies. The creamy orange flavor creates for a tasty treat no matter if you’re smoking or dabbing this strain.

For Purple Monkey, this one was created entirely on accident after they lost power at the DNA Gardens facility one year. Once the climate was destabilized, a group of Double Purple flowers ended up seeding out and infected the Gorilla Glue plants nearby. Dan and Adrian saved some of the seeds that ended up popping out from that accidental cross. If you ever come across the Purple Monkey you’ll notice the smell of sweet grapes and fruit punch.

The DNA Gardens team believes that “respect the cure” is a major reason as to why their product performs better than others. After harvesting the fresh cannabis product, Dan and Adrian make sure to dry the flower in a specific way that makes all the difference. They give respect to the entire cure process helping them to establish a true difference between their “fire weed'“ and “mids” or “mid-grade” cannabis.

Now that you know more about DNA Gardens, the real question is, why should you support them and buy their cannabis?

Simply put, Dan and Adrian want to thrive because people enjoy and believe in their product. There’s no crazy marketing budgets or excessive packaging with DNA, just quality people who are building their business the same way they’ve been doing for almost ten years now.
